| ANNOUNCING OFAS THIRD ANNUAL GOLF DAY - 20 May 2009 (12/06/2008) | ||
OFAS 3rd Annual Golf Day
Wednesday 20 May 2009
Chigwell Golf Course, IG7 5BH
The best thing to do when it’s cold and gloomy is to plan for the long, hot days of summer. And OFAS has a great track record in choosing beautiful weather for the Annual Golf Day at Chigwell Golf Course. It has to be admitted that there have only been two occasions to date .... but the sun did shine on us each time – and that’s not a bad record!
We have ordered more of the same weather this year and look forward to seeing once again those who have joined us previously, together with some new faces. Everyone is welcome so don’t feel the need to play like Tiger before you come along for a social and enjoyable day. Bacon rolls and coffee are served on arrival; there will again be features during the round to entertain, such as the opportunity to win a car, or Beat the Pro. After the obligatory visit to the 19th hole, a superb carvery meal is served in the attractive clubhouse, followed by the prizegiving ceremony.
This renowned Essex course is situated on the borders of Epping Forest, just 10 miles north- east of London and within easy reach of the M25. Last year the available places went very fast and we had reached capacity several weeks before the event. The format will be teams of four playing Stableford. You may care to make up your own team – or you may like to make new acquaintances in a team allocated to you.
To reserve your place(s) call Sara or Margaret on 01344 779 438 or e-mail sara.ofas@ofas.org.uk .
